Q: What do I do when I come into the school?
A: Take off your shoes. never wear them on the mat. take your attendance card from the box. Show respect for our Dojang and the Master by always bowing when entering or leaving.
Q: What do I call the instructors and other students?
A: Address the instructor as "Master Song" or "Sabumnim" and refer to him, other instructors and all black belts as "sir" or "ma'am".
Q: What do I wear in class?
A: Always wear a clean uniform and your belt. you should wear the uniform top and bottom for promotions. you may wear a school t-shirt with the uniform pants during the summer.
Q: Can I bring family and friends to the dojang?
A: Yes, but they must avoid loud talking and other disruptive behavior during classes. If necessary, take children not participating in class outside. please Turn off the ringer on cell phones while classes are in session.
Q: What if I need to leave and come back to pick up my child at the end of class?
A: Master Song and the staff are always hear to supervise students before and after class, but we ask that you Pick up students within 15 minutes of the end of class.
Q: Can I wear anything else with my uniform?
A: We prefer that students don't wear other clothes under their uniform. For safety reasons, do not wear jewelry in class (dangling earrings, bracelets, necklaces).
Q: Where can I leave my property, coat, etc.?
A: There are locker rooms for students. however, Song Tae Kwon Do Academy is not responsible for damage to or loss of valuables left unattended.
Q: When should I come to class?
A: Arrive on time or early and warm up/practice so that you are ready to train or participate in a promotion when class begins.
