Dojang Etiquette

  1. Show respect for our Dojang and the Master by always bowing when entering or leaving.
  2. Address the instructor as "Master Song"  or "Sabumnim" and refer to him, other instructors and all black belts as "sir" or "ma'am".
  3. Always wear a clean uniform.
  4. Avoid loud talking and other disruptive behavior during classes. If necessary, take children not participating in class outside.
  5. Remove your shoes before stepping onto the mat.
  6. Turn off the ringer on cell phones while classes are in session.
  7. Pick up students within 15 minutes of the end of class.
  8. For safety reasons, do not wear jewelry in class (dangling earrings, bracelets, necklaces).
  9. Song Tae Kwon Do Academy is not responsible for damage to or loss of valuables left unattended.
  10. Arrive on time or early and warm up/practice so that you are ready to train when class begins.
